100 Villages Commemorating 100 Years
celebrating 100 years of perseverance after the genocide of 1915
With the “100 villages commemorating 100 years" campaign, Aid to Armenia is pledging to visit 100 villages within Armenia, to maximize the number of Armenians who will receive free education and the proper resources necessary for first-aid care. In order to accomplish this, Aid to Armenia travels to rural communities throughout Armenia and trains local villagers on basic first-aid techniques. This includes, but is not limited to, treating burns, breaks, and fractures, helping adults, children, and infants when choking, learning how-to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants, as well as how to care for someone during more complicated traumatic events. Aid to Armenia also provides villagers that attend the training class with first-aid kits, containing sterilizing equipment, bandages, band-aids, splinting materials and more.
