Our 8th village to receive training as part of the 100 Villages Commemorating 100 Years project is Lernagog.
Lernagog is located in the Armavir Province of Armenia with an approximate population of 1,800 people. The main industry for this village is pig farming. On the hillside above Lernagog that faces toward the border with Turkey, they used white rocks to create a large commemoration to the genocide depicting the outline of Mount Ararat and the date 1915. The stones can easily be seen from the main highway that cuts through the Armavir Province. The training for this village was conducted in the main school with 17 teachers from the village in attendance.
Special thank you to Daniel and Jessica Berberian for sponsoring this village.
