Our 9th village to receive training as part of the 100 Villages Commemorating 100 Years project is Irind.
Irind is located in the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia with an approximate population of 985 people. A 7th century octagonal church sits in the center of this village that has fallen to ruins over the last century due to earthquakes. Present day Irind was founded in 1921 when survivors of the Armenian Genocide that were fleeing from Mush and Sasun settled in this area. Despite the small size of this village, we had a large number of participants join our first aid and CPR training course led by ATA Instructor Haourt Boyadijian in the Village municipality building.
